📅 The Ultimate 5-Day Banff & Jasper Itinerary (Improved Flow)

Day 1: Arrival in Calgary + Banff Stroll

  • Arrival: We picked up our rental car. Immediately afterward, we drove straight to Banff (about 1.5 hours).

  • Explore: We walked around the town center. Then, we explored local shops and enjoyed stunning mountain views.

  • Overnight: To finish the day, we spent the night in a cozy cabin in Radium. We were surrounded by nature.

Day 2: Sulphur Mountain + Banff Downtown + Lake Minnewanka

  • Morning: We took the gondola to the Sulphur Mountain Summit. The panoramic views are amazing!

  • Afternoon: Following the summit, we had free time to shop and explore Banff town.

  • Evening: To conclude the day, we ended our trip with a peaceful visit to Lake Minnewanka

Day 3: Moraine Lake + Lake Louise

  • Early Start (A Must!): We left early to catch sunrise at Moraine Lake. This is absolutely a must! Subsequently, we headed to iconic Lake Louise. 

  • Mid-Morning: Subsequently, we headed to the iconic Lake Louise. Here, you can rent a canoe or stroll by the shore. Ultimately, both lakes look like something out of a fairytale.

Day 4: Columbia Icefield + Jasper + Peyto Lake

  • Scenic Drive: We drove the famous Icefields Parkway. As a result, this route took us toward Jasper. It is one of the most beautiful drives globally.

  • Adventure: We walked on the Columbia Icefield Skywalk. In other words, it’s a glass floor over a glacier!

  • Stops: On the way, we stopped at the magnificent Peyto Lake. Also, we visited Athabasca Falls.

  • Relaxed Morning: We enjoyed a calm, scenic visit to Forgetmenot Pond and Elbow Falls.

  • Departure: In conclusion, we took an evening flight back home.
